Browlift &
eyebrow lift Due to the harsh effects of the sun, wind, gravity and age, the muscles that hold the forehead smooth can become weak and loose - resulting in frown lines, horizontal creases and drooping eyebrows. This can also make you look angry, sad or puzzled even when you're not.
Let us help.
A browlift removes excess tissue, skin and muscle to elevate the brows and smooth lines. It minimizes the creases across the forehead and those that occur around the bridge of the nose. It can also reposition expression lines and reduce other signs of aging in the region of your brow.
A less invasive version of the browlift is an eyebrow lift, where excess skin is removed via an incision made at the eyebrow. Recovery time is swift, around 2 weeks and this procedure significantly removes signs of sagging for eyes that look brighter and more alert.

What happens during an eyebrow lift?
You will be placed under local anaesthetic for a short 1-hour procedure. An incision is made at eyebrow area and excess skin is removed. As it is less invasive, you can expect faster recovery time of around 2 weeks compared to a traditional brow-lift that gives almost the same effect.
How is a browlift performed?
The brow lift is performed through an incision made from ear to ear across the crown of the head. The pattern of the incision follows much the same line as a set of headphones. A thin line of hair may be shaved along the incision. The skin of the brow is lifted carefully and some of the underlying muscle tissue is altered or removed. The skin is pulled back and excess skin is trimmed away so that it exactly fits the incision line. The incision is closed with sutures or metal clips.
Brow lift surgery usually lasts between one and two hours. It is usually performed in an outpatient facility with general anaesthetics and sedatives for your comfort.
Who is a good candidate for brow lift surgery?
Most brow lift candidates are between the ages of 35 – 60 and in good health. Be very forthcoming with your doctor about your complete medical history, including allergies and past surgeries. If you smoke, inform your doctor.
What preparations should I make?
Preparation begins at your pre-surgery consultation. Avoid smoking as it interferes with circulation and healing, stop taking certain medications as advised by your doctor, and other pre-surgery instructions.
What happens post-surgery?
A certain amount of bruising and swelling is to be expected in at least the first 10 days. You may need to keep your head elevated or apply cold compresses to minimize swelling. For most patients, the recovery time will not exceed 2 weeks but patients will be advised to avoid strenuous activities for a longer duration. If you feel any severe pain or other abnormal symptoms, call your doctor immediately.
