How do the laser therapies work?
They use high-energy light to penetrate the skin and target dark concentrations of melanin. The light is absorbed by the targeted spot and destroyed, thus lightening or removing it altogether.
Will my normal skin pigmentation be removed as well?
No, the lasers were specifically designed to target dark concentrations of melanin. After the abnormal amounts of melanin are removed, and treatment continues on normal skin, some whitening could occur. However, your body’s natural melanin over a period of time will return the skin to its natural colour.
Are there any other benefits?
PhotoAcoustic lasers like Medlite and Revlite create a smoother, healthier-looking complexion while stimulating ongoing collagen growth. After the first treatment, you will notice an immediate improvement in the texture and appearance of your skin.
