  Dental bonding

Minor imperfections like stains, chips or small gaps between the teeth can dampen a smile that would otherwise be bright and stunning.

  Let us help.
Dental bonding is a procedure where a resin material (durable plastic material) is applied to your teeth and then sculpted and shaped for a variety of structural and cosmetic purposes. Dental bonding can lighten stains, restore chips, close up gaps and even correct crooked teeth. The resin comes in several shades to match your teeth's natural colour.

What are the advantages of dental bonding?
  • It is amongst the easiest and least expensive of cosmetic dental procedures.
  • Bonding can usually be done in one visit unless several teeth are involved.
  • Anaesthesia is usually not required unless the bonding is performed to fill a cavity.
What is the bonding process like?

The surface of the tooth will be prepared, and then a solution applied as an adhesive to help the resin ‘bond’ to your tooth. The resin is applied then molded and smoothed to the desired shape. A high-intensity light is used to harden the material, after which your dentist will further shape and polish it.

How long does dental bonding take to complete?

It takes about 30 – 60 minutes per tooth to complete.

How do I prepare for dental bonding?

There is little preparation necessary. Anaesthesia will only be used if the bonding is used to fill a decayed tooth.
